Possible side effects of the non-weight-gain birth control pill

I am about to start a new birth control. Its called Yasmin. I recently went to the OBGYN and aksed about birth control lowering your sex drive. He told me to try Yasmin. I was just wondering exactly what it is and how it will effect my body differently then what I used before. I am not to sure what I used before because I don't have it with me. Thanks for you help!
