About 6-7 years ago I had an accident while falling onto my bed with an erection; I landed in such a way that I damaged my penis. I knew straight away that something wasn't quite right as it became instantly numb. It didn't hurt immediately, but became very painful after my erection subsided. The next morning my penis was in great pain and the head was quite numb, however I didn't go to the doctor straigt away, thinking it would mend itself. After about 4-5 months, nothing had improved (the loss of sensitivity had now actually encompassed my whole penis, rather than just the head). I went to the doctor and then to a urologist were he told me that he couldn't feel anything wrong with it, and that my penis would mend itself over time. He told me surgery would probably cause more harm than good and certainly more pain.

Well, that was 6 years ago and while sensitivity has increased slightly, its still very difficult to maintain an erection as the blood doesn't seem to flow properly. When I get an erection, the head doesn't usually fill and I have to try very hard to make it do so, and that's only for a short time. Also, I get a dull ache just below the head of my penis were the damage probably occured. I'd really love to get back to having the penis I had before my accident, but is it possible? Should I go see another urologist or is it too late now?
