Case Title: problems associated with a retroverted cervix / uterus.
Reader: 1/18/2003>Dr. Lin, I have two questions actually. First off my gyno recently told me that I have a retroverted cervix. Can you tell me what this means and if it will cause any difficulties in becoming pregnant or having children? Second... I have a very small clitoris and I have NEVER had an orgasm in 4 years of sexual activity. My boyfriend gets really frustrated, I get really really close to the point where I can't stand for him to touch it anymore but I cannot release. Please help! It's really very frustrating.
Dr. Lin: 01/19/2003>
A retroverted cervix (uterus) is the top of the uterus rotated toward the rectum, such that the cervix opening is aligned with the vaginal canal, more or less.
You can conceive a baby, as long as your uterine lining is thick enough for seeding
a fertilized egg under the action of progesterone.
The problem is: You may have more chance to prematurely deliver a baby due to the
gravitational effect on the baby. Also the uterus/cervix may become
prolapsed after childbirth or due to the weak uterine-support ligaments. A
prolapsed uterus/cervix shortening the vagina can cause intercourse pain due to
the frequent striking of the cervix by the penis.
You need a clitoral and G-spot erection first to have orgasm.

If you don't erect your clitoral and G-spot, a hard stimulation will cause urinary incontinence during or after sex. The most common problem is: it produces peeing urgency during sex or urethral female ejaculation of urine. The sexual tension is built to cause the pelvic congestion after sex.
Some women use a vibrator to produce orgasm without clitoral or G-spot erection, resulting in clitoral pain or urinary/bowel stress incontinence. We have collected a lot of cases in these links.
