Dr. Lin: 01/21/2003> It is caused by the Orgasm-induced excessive dopamine-adrenalin (stress neurohormone) conversion in the rear brain due to a low level of serotonin. Excessive binding of adrenalin into the alpha receptors causes constriction of the arteries and then nerves. If the local arteries and nerves lack of the relaxation/elasticity hormone prostaglandin E-1 (PGE-1) , the nerves become to inflexible to stand the constriction stress pressure, resulting in orgasmic or post-orgasmic pains or headache which can last for several days untile the PGE-1 level is higher enough to release the nervous constriction stress. The synthesis of PGE-1 requires the acetylcholine precursors (neurochemicals), hGH/DHEA/andostenedione/testosterone and, of course, some estrogen. Men and women with a low level of serotonin in the main brain (the 1-st brain above the neck) and a lack of the PGE-1 in the arteries and nerves are likely to experience severe, long-lasting orgasmic/post-orgasmic Headache. Some get pains or cramps in the stomach (in the 2nd brain between the neck and pelvis) or pelvic cavity (the 3rd brain) too. Serotonin can modulate and reduce the dopamine-adrenalin conversion in the brains. Dietary supplements with the acetylcholine and hGH precusors, DHEA, androstendione and 5-HTP will solve her problems.
