The weakness is: TCM won't go down to the Biochemistry and Cellular Biology levels for the problems, and it limits to the Macroscopic responses of the body parts.
TCM uses Chi to cover everything except the serotonin nervous function which is a missing chapter of the TCM.
So, the Old Chinese have to rely on a lot of gods and temples to deal with the serotonin nervous disorder.
The Serotonin nervous function coordinates the Yin (acetylcholine) and Yang (Dopamine) Chi. Without it, the Offensive/Defensive (Fight or Flight) Chi (the neurohormones Norepinephrine and Epinephrine -adrenalin) will use up Yin and Yang Chi and drive the sympathetic nervous Fight or Flight up all the times. It drives patients crazy.
It will cause the neuro-endocrine and neuro-immune disorders, fatigue, pains, headaches, and psychological disorder.
