Common side effects of hormone-based birth control for no sexual orgasm.

hi i can not take the combined pil (progestarone &ostragen)or mini pill (ostrogen only)as a contraceptive because they send me crazy with depression mood swings and all round psycosis!! my friend has similar problems and went to her doc who said that there are pills on the market that are progestarone only but they are not licenced in britain as a contraceptive.
Do you know how effective these pills would be as a contraceptive and are there any side effects?

Dr. Lin: 7/05/2003>Excessive progesterone can cause mood swings, anxiety, stress, vaginal dryness, yeast infection, and intercourse/penetration pain.
Excessive estrogen can cause depression, hypothyroidism, excessive vaginal wetness, and intercourse pain too.
The reason that the pills combine artificial progesterone (progestin) and artificial estrogen (conjugated estrogen) is to emulate the pregnancy female hormonal levels in order for the brain to shut down the ovarian function, and at the same, to balance the vaginal dryness and wetness, so that women can still have a wet penetration sex.
Generally, women will experience psychological instability, hypothyroidism, intercourse pains, yeast infection, and vaginal/G-spot de-sensitization when their liver and adrenal functions are too weak to support the brain's chemistry (neurotransimitters and androstendione/testosterone).
Progestin-only birth control pills/implant/injection are worse than the combination ones with Progestin and conjugated estrogen.
Progestin my be responsible for breast/cervical/uterine cancerous development according to the recent study of the HRT for women.

I wonder your liver system is too weak to detoxify the toxin of Progestin, and your adrenal function alone, without the ovarian function, is too weak to supply enough DHEA and androstendione for your brains. The liver function is very critical for the cholesterol-hormone conversion in the brain, adrenal glands, ovaries/testicles and other tissues . The hormone-based birth control may increase the deposition of bad cholesterol in the arteries and causes cardiovascular problems.
You should consider non-hormone based birth controls.
