Case Title: SSRIs anti-depression drugs kills her sexual orgasm - solution!
Reader: 10/8/2003>
I take an SSRI anti-depressant (Movox) which is also known as Faverin or Luvox.
I'm wondering if I reduce my dosage, whether this will improve my orgasms?
I currently experience only a very warm glow when I stimulate my clitoris and although I enjoy this experience, I often feel I'm not expressing my sexual self fully. Also, I remember I used to get fuller orgasms, both clitoral and vaginal, when I wasn't on the tablets. I rarely get a vaginal orgasm now.
I was diagnosed with Major Depression about 6 years ago; I really feel that I need to complement my tablets with counselling/psychology rather than just rely on the medication. I also get quite anxious at times.
Can you recommend an alternative to the anti depressant or something which can complement it? Would pelvic exercises or yoga improve my orgasm and enjoyment of sex?
Thanks in advance.
Dr. Lin: 10/9/2003>Yes! You can try to reduce the anti-depression drugs dosage first for comprising your psychological stability and your libido/nervous
sensitivity/orgasm. Generally, Reducing down to 25% of the suggested SSRIs dosage seems harmless to sexual function, if the resulting serotonin level in your brain/nervous system can still be high enough to keep your anxiety and stress away.
If it doesn't work out that way, our Viapal-hGH-M can help you to gradually withdraw or reduce the SSRIs drugs for restoring your orgasm..
