Taking birth control pills for 2 months causes her psychological disorders for no more sexual orgasm

My girlfriend started taking birth control pills in the begining of FEB. I am in the Navy and was deployed between the middle of FEB an the beginning of APR. When i returned to port 7 days ago, my girlfriend has almost completely changed. She has become detached, scatterbrained, moody and unreliable. We have been together for over a year and she has never been like this. She acknowledges that she is a bit crazy now and cannot explain it. Yet continously apologizes for her craziness. I have asked her to stop taking the pills but she is convinced that they are not the problem. I can hardly bear to hear her on the phone crying continuously. Soon we'll be back together but I'm afraid that this a very serious problem especially with my job. Can the pills be the entire source of her problem? Is this a short term effect? Or are these symptoms more suited to seperation anxiety? I personally lean toward the pills because She was with me last summer when I made a patrol twice as long as this one with no wierd effects after my return. Should i do everything in my power to stop her from taking these pills? How long would it take to see if they are the problem if I can convince her to quit? What literature could I use to back up my claim that these pills make her crazy? please help me
