Hello,

I stumbled across your site the other day while in a google search. I have been frequently in and out of depression for the last couple of years (I think)due to hardships in my life and employment and have found myself dependent on masturbation to clear my mind from anxiety and stress. I find that in times of great stress, I need it more than others--once a day or every other day. And recently, I have found myself unable to concentrate without it. Each time after masturbating, it is like a cloud is lifted from my head and I can concentrate again. The anxiety and depression slowly fades away and I can function mostly normally again. I have drive to get things done that didn't exist before masturbating.

Is this all in my head, or is there a link here? Does it sound like I'm suffering from something, and is masturbating bad for me? I almost feel like it's just fueling the problem and has been for some time. I want to break this vicious circle. I doubt this is normal, but I don't know if anything is related to anything else. Can you help with my problem?
