Thanks for your site and all of the helpful information. I wish I had found your information much sooner. My problem is erectile dysfunction and loss of libido following a vasectomy operation on 8-15-2003. My testicles have hurt since the operation and time has done nothing to help with the pain. Pain was much worse after sex and the elevated pain lasted several days after sex, which is a real deterrent to even have sex at all. Having an orgasm is extremely uncomfortable. The past few months I noticed my erections have been much softer than normal and I think this may have something to do with the constant pain, but I am not sure and it scares the hell out of me. Before the vasectomy I had a very active and strong sex life without any problems at all.

I have been to the doctor that did the vasectomy 4 times about the pain, and most recently about the erectile dysfunction, pain, possible reversal and he just says I should not be in pain and wanted to give me some Viaaagra to see if it would help with the ED. I have since been working with another doctor to proceed with the reversal and should have it done in the next few months. All I really want is to feel normal again. I feel so stupid for even having the vasectomy and the bouts of depression I have had since are very real, but I have not asked the doctors about the depression. I have kept hoping things would get better, but they have gotten steadily worse.
I have been told by the new doctor that reversals sometimes help with the pain, but there are no guarantees. Right now I am ready to try anything to get some relief and hope I can get back to normal.
