Case Title: Vasectomy destroys his sexual function and sex life for no more sexual orgasm

Dear Dr.Lin,
I had a vasectomy about two months ago,since the operation I am having less and less success achiving an erection.The erection's I do get are softer than pre vasectomy and their is a loss of feeling to some degree and even my orgasm feels very different.The right testie had a post op infection and I was told once it cleared up things would return to normal.I am sorry to say it didn't,things were okay for about a week and then right back to not working.The pain on the right testie has returned.My doctor would have me belive that the lack of use and feeling is mental,I know it is not mental,before the vasectomy my wife and I enjoyed sex 2-3 or more times a week.
Now only 2 months after the vasectomy at age 30 I have no drive and most frightening the inablity to either get or maintain an erection long enough to get anything done,not only has this destroyed my sex life it is starting to effect other parts of my life due to anger,fustration and a helpless feeling .I know something is different and it is not in my head as my doctor would like me to belive.I even went as far as to look for information in the NEJM but their is nothing to be found My 2 question's to you as a doctor is if this is such a common problem after a vasectomy why as the patient aren't we given all the risks instead of "it's safe,you can return to work days later,their is not side effects"why not the truth? and if I were to have this vasectomy reversed will I return to normal or will I find a host of new problems to deal with that no one will tell me about before hand?
