SSRIs antidepression drugs gave him impotence for no more sexual orgasm in few days

When I was 18 I'd dropped out of school and wasn't going out much socially for a short period of time. I wasn’t depressed just lacking a little direction in my life. My concerned mother went to my doctor on my behalf and he prescribed me with 20 mg of pprozac per day.

Before taking prozac I had never had problems getting erections but within 3-4 days of taking it I became impotent.I not longer woke up in the mornings with erections and I couldn’t become erect without being physically stimulated, often with much effort.The erections I did manage were not solid or lasting but my libido was unaffected.

After a month or two I was told to take 40mg of proozac per day but it had done nothing for me except make me lose weight,become drowsy, forgetful and impotent.So after another few months I decided to stop taking it which I did `cold turkey` without withdrawal problems.

I am now 27 but my erectile functioning has never returned,not on one single occasion.I don’t have any other physical or psychological illnesses and I've never taken any other form of drugs or medication either prescription or non-prescription.

I have no `issues` with guilt,embarrassment or performance anxiety and im very open about my sexuality and my impotence to my girlfriend ,my family and friends.My blood tests for hormones and diabetes were fine.Ive never sustained injury to my back and have no problems with circulation or stress.I exercise regularly, don’t smoke and im not a heavy drinker. I feel that my short term memory and general level of energy has never been the same since taking prozzac but I positively know that I have been impotent ever since.

I am due to see a urologist soon about possible treatments for my impotence but id rather ,if possible reverse the biochemical change that prozaac has caused in my body to cure it.

>From my own research I have learned that Dr Peter Breggin MD,an expert on antidepressants claims that prozacc can cause permanent damage to the body with side effects continuing even after you stop taking it as its been shown to permanently shut down receptor cells,making a person less sensitive.

>From on line forums I've read of other men telling of how they became impotent when they started prrozac whose sexual functioning didn’t return when they stopped taking it.Is there any advice that you can offer as this has seriously impaired my quality of life?
