I am a 60 year old male. I have been taking blood pressure medication, ennalapril maleate, for a few years. At the time it was prescribed I noticed a decrease in the intensity of my erections, but they were still functional. I was also going through a high stress period, so I assumed that could have been a contributing factor, as well. At about that same time I had a full erection with a painful Post-orgasm experience. If felt as if I had a cramped muscle at the deep end of my penis, possibly my prostate. There have been several times since then that I have a dull pain in the rectum/prostate area which sometimes subsides w/ a slight bowel movement, as if that slightly massages my prostate.
I also went through a period of mental sexual stimulation, not necessarily to erection, but almost obsessively thinking about sex and sexual teasing.
I have used some Viaggra, Ciaalis, & Levvitra with partial success, but not particulary consistent or strong erections.
I recently went to a Bostoon Medical Group appt. where I was injected and obtained an erection. Upon leaving the facility I still had the erection which was probably 65-80% full. I returned a couple hours later where they injected my penis with epinepherine to obtain complete flaccidity.
I had ordered their prescription, but am reluctant to use it since I've read some of the letters on your website. It is suppose to be ready for me to pick up tomorrow.
I appear to be healthy, average weight, with the exception of the controlled high blood pressure, reasonable cholesterol number, but poor ratio of LDL. I also have a calcium # of 130 on a heart test, and a normal PSA.
The doctors I have seen do not instill any confidence as to their knowledge regarding E.D. When I've mentioned concerns about the effect of medications they have said it's probably a result of the blood pressure without any further testing or conversation.
