Dr. Lin, Hi. I've suffered from what has been termed prostatitis for nearly 5 years. I was on antibiotics for nearly 2 years (about the only help was that it helped to relieve inflammation) and I've tried what seems like every type of supplement out there. Besides being in pain costantly (especially when sitting), my penis bends far to the left, although I have no problem getting an erection or having an orgasm. My wife and I have been unable to have children in these past years and I have been found to have low (20 million) sperm and they are not very good swimmers.
I am in a three month study at the moment using suppository EDTA (and vitamin/mineral supplements) with the thought that it may help to remove any calcification or nanobacterial from the prostate. Although from time to I feel slightly better, I am reminded when I'm sitting for a long time and my eyes start watering from pain, that the pain is very much still there. The study is about to end in the next 2 weeks.
My goal is to have no pain and to have a baby with my wife. I am 41 years old (have tried androstedione in the past year and it caused more pain). Can you make any recommendations?
