Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, which frequently involves hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal dysfunction. Was prescribed SSRIs a decade ago by well-intentioned but misguided doctors who thought they could cure a multi-systemic illness with anti-depressants! (Needless to say, the SSRIs did nothing positive, but exacerbated my symptoms.)

Currently have deadish clitoris & vagina. Sometimes experience mild sexual attraction but problems with sexual arousal (only mild state is reached and it doesn't last for more than 60 secs). Needless to say, orgasm is never even vaguely approached.

Also have symptoms of adrenal and thyroid deficiency (thyroid has been tested and is within normal range, but a feature of ME is that despite normal serum levels, at the tissue level one is often functionally hypothyroid). It's believed that this is related to adrenal insufficiency, and certainly I have the symptoms of that though my doctor says it is impossible to test. My suspicion that my symptoms are at least partly related to adrenal and thyroid problems was solidified by the fact that i experience the most improvement when on liquorice supplementation (even then it is only a very mild improvement). Unfortunately, one cannot supplement with liquorice for very long, and nor is it a longterm solution.
