5-HTP is completely different from antidepression drugs, the serotonin reuptaking inhibitors.
5-HTP increases the natural serotonin synthesis while the antidepression drugs won't; and our 5-HTP won't interfer with the dopamine and acetylcholine nervous transduction and action, but the serotonin reuptaking inhibitors do partially block the dopamine and acetylcholine nervous transduction in the interneuron synapses for numbness, nervous desensitization, increasing the prolactin level, and reducing the androgen hormones and oxytocin production. Our 5-HTP will also increase the liver functional support for neurotransmitter syntheses and conversion of LDL into androgen hormones in boosting sexual function.
Antidepression drugs reduce or disable the liver support in neurotransmitter syntheses and androgen hormone production. All the antidepression drugs come with negative side effects on the liver function, as shown in the warning.
