Dr. Lin, my question is regarding increased hair-loss and sex dysfunction. I have been taking Propeci!a for seven years for MPB hair-loss, the treatment worked very well and allowed me to restore and maintain my hair for 5.5 years. 18 months ago my hair started thinning again and I am now worse then I was when I first started the treatment with Propec!a. Any hair that has re-grown is thinner and weaker and breaks easily. I had my doctor check my thyroid, which he reported is ok. My thyroid panel numbers are, T-4, Free = 1.4, Testosterone = 511, THS = 2.38. I have many symptoms of a hypothyroid. My other problem is a very low sex drive, decreased semen and sensitivity and weaker erection. I know that is probably caused by the Propec!a but I am afraid to stop the treatment due to my hair. I want to quick Propec!a but keep my hair and hopefully grow more (thicker) hair. Can you please help me? What supplements should I take in place of Propec!a. I plan to continue my topical Minox!dil and Sp!onolactone daily.
