Case Study: Solution for sexual exhaustion symptoms and the side effects of SSRIs
antidepressants - depression, ear ringing, Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), joint aches, dry eyes, fatigue, blurry vision, low back pain, insomnia,
knee pain, low libido and erectile dysfunction.
Reader: 10/12/2007>Hi Dr. Lin, I was hoping you could help me figure out what exactly is wrong with me and how to fix it.
I was on SSRI antidepressants for a few years. I started on 50mg zooloft and noticed only minor sexual side-effects, the biggest being unable to ejaculate at times. I was switched to
Effexoor after 3 years and began to notice decreased libido. I stopped after 8 months and regained some of my libido. However, after a few months of depression, I got back on the
Effexxor and experienced severe effects after taking the first dose (75mg): dry heaving, chills, frequent urination, insomnia, total loss of sensitivity in my genitals, and not being able to get erections.
Here are some relevant values from a recent blood and saliva test:
Total Testosterone: 338 (250 to 1100 ng/dL)
Free Testosterone: 48.3 (35.0 to 155 pg/mL)
Thyroid FT4: 2.1 (0.8 to 1.6 ng/dL)
Thyroid TSH: 2.080 (0.40 to 4.5 uIU/mL)
Luteinizing Hormone: 0.2 (low)
Estradiol: 0.8 (0.5 to 2.2 pg/ml)
Progesterone: 70 (12 to 100 pg/ml)
DHEAS: 32.7 (2 to 23 pg/ml)
Cortisol Morning: 12.3 (3.7 to 9.5)
Cortisol Noon: 1.8 (1.2 to 3.0)
Cortisol Evening: 1.2 (0.6 to 1.9)
Cortisol Bedtime: 0.2 (0.4 to 1.0)
So my testosterone is low for my age, Luteinizing Hormone is very low, DHEAS is very high, FT4 is high, and my morning cortisol is too high only to drop too low by bedtime.
My symptoms include: no sensitivity in my genitals, weak erections, no libido or sex drive, fatigue, insomnia (getting to sleep, staying asleep), ear ringing, dry eyes, low back pain, right knee pain, and slight depression (I have vastly improved upon this in the last few months).
Currently, my doctor has me taking 25mg five times a week to raise my Luteinizing Hormone and see if that increases my Testosterone. Also, I am taking vitamins and herbs to help the adrenal fatigue.
My question is: what is the root cause to all of this? Will raising the Luteinizing Hormone and Testosterone fix anything? Could this possibly be a liver problem, based on the extreme reaction I had when I started the
Effexxor again?
Thanks and much appreciation,
Dr. Lin: 10/12/2007>
Although you did not disclose your masturbation practices during your puberty, which is the main causes of the
adrenal and testicular functional disorders and psychological disorders including depression,
anxiety, insomnia, mood swing and OCD, your symptoms are the typical sexual exhaustion symptoms as given in
http://action.love/cases/case9848.htm
Your antidepression drugs are the main cause of the pituitary-testicular and liver functional disorders, as described in
http://action.love/extra/ssris.htm
It is called HyperProlactimia, resulting in shutting down your testicular function and semen production.
Currently, your testicular function is not working. Your testosterone comes from your adrenal, brain and internal organs.
Without the testicular function to convert your DHEA to testosterone, your DHEA is back up.
If you want your testicular function back to work, you have to gradually withdraw the SSRIs drugs, so that you can rejuvenate your pituitary-testicular function
You need a long-term nervous/liver detoxification and rejuvenation with ViaPal-hGH-J(3-015), 5-HTP (2-001), ArgiNOx (1-018) and DeToxiA (1-017) plus FishOil(1000 mg each meal) which help you gradually rejuvenate your neuro-endocrine function, stabilize your serotonin and GABA nervous control, and boost your prostaglandin E-1/E-3, oxytocin and Nitric Oxide production for healing.
http://action.love/mail/herbform.htm
This formula will help you to gradually withdraw SSRIs in 1-2 months.
