testosterone levels. Licorice root I was told not to ingest because it

No.
Licorice is a weak monoamine oxidase inhibiting herb.
It helps preserve dopamine and serotonin and enhances the liver detoxification
for androgen hormone production.
This is the most universal herb in the Traditional Chinese medicine. Its
function, like St. John/s Wort, is to enhance the effectiveness of other
ingredients.

Interesting. I noticed a somewhat calming effect, almost as if I am on a
benzodiazapine or some kind of an MAO inhibitor (this effect being
noticeable with my social anxiety). I am really fascinated by Qi Gong
and Chinese medicine.
With all the phytoestrogens to combat prostate problems (growth), would
there be a problem with penile tissues being loaded with them?
