Case Study: Antibiotics can induce skin allergic responses such
as skin rashes, dryness, itchiness and swelling.
Reader: 6/09/2009>Dr. Lin I am concerned about a rash I just developed 2
days ago on the upper underside of my penis. It is basically just very dry scaly
skin that is a little swollen and itches if I touch it. I first had symptoms of
it on the front of my scrotum itching and irritated after having sex with a
condom. I also started antibiotics the same day for a infection in my jaw, I was
thinking it could be poison ivy or sumac from petting my animals? Any ideas what
it could be?
Dr. Lin: 6/09/2009>No. it is the side effect of
antibiotics.
I got the same problems twice when I took antibiotics for my rooting canal and
gum infection, respectively.
I got it within couple hours.
I discounted the anitibiotics in 24 hours; all the skin irritation and rash went
way immediately next day.
You can apply hyhrocortisone, viatmin D cream, and antihistamine to the area,
and take a high dose of Moodmax and Pinealtonin with Fish Oil 1000 mg,
Vitamin D 1000 IU and Vitamin C 1000 mg twice a day
