Hi Dr Lin, my question is in regards to my wife and sometimes the scary after action,spasms, shortness of breath after orgasm. When we first meet if she had a single orgasm this was a normal affair. However occassionaly if overstimulated and she climax then she would stop breathing. Her body would contract her intercostal muscles becoming very sore. After stimulating her to breath (Chest knuckle rub)then she would breath again and eventually she would recover. She has had multple laproscomy to deal with ovarian cysts. Which seem to be only on the left side. She is 2 Partium but 0 gestational. As we have been more sexually active the chest spasms seem to go away. She was prescribed Rx to deal with abdominal pain. Eventual an appendectomy was performed and her spasm events and abdominal pain seem to reduce. Currently she is not on any Rx. Occassionaly 1 pe rmonth) abdominal episodes. Her spasms present themselves as musclecramping down her right leg. Fromtoes to thigh. Sometimes migrating to her chest. The painful cramping continues for a coupla of minutes. She has had EKG which was normal. Any idea what is causing this? SHe likes sex but the pain after effect is making her anxious. Would Oxytocin or baclofen Rx assist in reducing the pain. Also when she is intoxicated the first orgasm is normal but a second one will have the cramping but signficantly reduced. Please note if she is sexual active (more than 3 times a week) the cramping events seem to reduce. Any suggestions?

Her orgasmic cramps are nervous disorders. Her fear is due to a drop of dopamine, serotonin and GABA nervous function, which are supposed to be powered up during sexual arousal. It also indicates she have excessive dopamine-norepinephrine-epinephrine conversion for sympathetic nervous fight/flight and inflammatory responses. Stopping breathing during orgasm is called little death. The lost conscience during orgasm is a result of the nervous outage in the cerebral cortex. Abrupt orgasmic contraction or expansion against cerebral cortex will cause this problem.
The vagal nervous disorders give her chest and abdomen spasm and little death; the sympathetic nervous disorders causes her leg spasms.

These problems occur only in an abrupt dopamine-norepinephrine conversion in the brain during sexual arousal or/and orgasm.
A lack of potassium can cause the problems too. If this is the case, try 1 banana a day.
The serotonin and GABA nervous control deficiency can cause the sympathetic nervous hyperactivities.
