Hi Dr. Lin,
Got my package last monday. feeling very good. been having good bowel
movements.
how did it improve my bowel movement?
maybe too much stress from post grad studies?
thanks
Dr. Lin: 9/12/2009>Gut is the 2nd brain which have its own brain-like nervous
function with all the neurotransmitters in the brains.
Brain-death patients can still have a good digestive function.
The major neurotransmitters in the digestive system include acetylcholine,
dopamine, serotonin, GABA, norepinephrine, epinephrine, histamine, melatonin,
glutamate and prostaglandin E2, and Vitamin D/Calcium.
The excitatory neurotransmitters such as norepinephrine, epinephrine, histamine,
glutamate and prostaglandin E2 causes digestive panic. while serotonin, GABA and
melatonin are the cooling neurotransmitters.
Actylcholine is responsible for nervous sensing and cholinergic control.
Dopamine in the gastrointestinal tract stimulates exocrine secretions, inhibits
gut motility, modulates
sodium absorption and mucosal blood flow, and exerts cytoprotective
function against gastroduodenal ulcer disease. it exerts novel biological
actions of its own in addition to the metabolic formation of norepinephrine and
epinephrine. The digestive tract produces more dopamine than the brain does.

Preservation of dopamine by reducing the metabolic formation of norepinephrine
and epinephrine in the guts with serotonin and GABA nervous control help
you regulate the bowel movement.
To do so, you have to improve your serotonin and GABA nervous modulation on the
dopamine receptors and norepinephrine nervous terminals and also reduce
the liver stress (norepinephrine/epinephrine/sympathetic nervous
functions) to cut down dopamine betab-hydroxylase (responsible for
dopamine-norepinephrine conversion) and COX-2 (responsible for prostaglandin E2
synthesis)
