Reader: 4/25/2000> This is actually about my boyfriend.... I would be most grateful to hear from you, Thankyou Dr. Lin: 4/25/2000> There is a Negative Feedback Controller (NFC) in the brain/hypothalamus/pituitary. When NFC detects a high testosterone level in the bloodstream, it will inhibit the release of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) acting on the pituitary, and Luterinizing Hormone (LH) and Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) from the pituitary to testicular Leydig cells (for testosterone production) and Sertoli Cells (for sperm production). The testosterone implant has completely disabled the testicular function by locking up the NFC. His testes may have shrunk. As I can see, he has been overdosed with the testosterone implant. On lucky thing he still has is that his liver function can produce a lot of Enzyme 5-alpha reductase that turns testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) to fuel his sexual power. His liver function may also produce Enzyme aromatase that converts testosterone into Estradiol (the most potent estrogen). If he is over-weighted a lot, he may have excessive Estradiol too. Excessive DHT and/or Estradiol will result in hair loss and prostate enlargement. I think he is aware of the side effects of the testosterone implant on his body.
