Reader: 7/15/2000> My problem is that I can have an orgasm, but I do not cum and on top of that....I don't get turned on, no matter what my boyfriend tries. I have had multiple sex parterners in the past but am now only with my current boyfriend and have been with him for over a year and a half. When we first met both of us were fine, sexually. Now his penis don't get hard and I have the problems as described above. I am currently on D?po-Prov?ra ( Note: the trade marked drug name is not allowed here) and have been on that for around 2 years or so. First off, is that birth controll screwing up my horomones or something??? Why did all of this only start 6 months ago?? What can I do to correct my "problems?" Dr. Lin: 7/18/2000> Yes! The birth control injection has gradually overloaded your liver P450 detoxification function and killed your brain-adrenal-ovarian function. Both the liver and adrenal/ovarian functions are essential for translation of foods to amino acids, enzymes and hormones (particularly, DHEA and testosterone) to power your clitoral and G-spot erection and sensitivity for sexual and orgasmic responses. You can get wet very easily (too much water due to excessive estrogen), but no more libido fire (too less sexual fuel - testosterone). This is a powerful chemical castration. You should consider other birth control methods for sexual orgasm. It seems you had a good liver and endocrine function for producing sufficient testosterone at your young age (before 18).
