Dr. Lin, My wife and I recently had a baby and I am considereing having a vasectomy, because she can not take the pill. We highly dislike condoms and really are in a tough situation. Urologists or OBY/GYN consider that vasectomy and hysterectomy surgeries are plumbing jobs, but we think they are associated with the brain's nervous and hormonal (bioelectric) feedback circuits. The side effects result from the alternation of the negative bioelectric feedback circuits which become open loops after surgery. The negative bioelectric feedback circuits stabilize the brain/neuro-endocrine functions. When the circuits are opened, the patients may experience abrupt mood-change.
