Improper Penile Enlargement results in weak erection for no sexual orgasm

I enlarged my penis by using a thick ring at the base of my penis and squeezing it to hold the blood in while i masturbated .My penis has grown substantialy but now after about a year I am having trouble maintaining an erection.Did I damage my penis??
