Case Study - Why does Vasectomy cause testicular and low-abdomen pains? Reader: 7/8/2001> On June 14, 2001 I had a vacectomy. That day and everyone since I have endured very very sensitive testicales. I also have had nausia and sensitivity at my lower stomack area. I can hardly stand to touch them myself. Anyone else touching them is out of the question. Why do they pain me so and when will this sensitivity end? I suppose it would be helpful to also let you know I am diabetic. I also have cervical and lumbar back troubles. My Urologist has refered me back to my primary care doctor but I know my problems started after the vacectomy. Dr. Lin: 7/9/2001> Yes. The vasectomy stops the natural release of sperms by ejaculation. As a result, the accumulation of sperms exerts a hydraulic pressures against your testicles and ductus deferens. The knots of the cut or tightned ductus deferens become very sensitive and painful. The pain and sensitivity will be over when your testicular functions are disabled. It seems your testicular functions are still very powerful. Your brain/hypothalamus will gradually shut down the testicular axis due to the over-accumulation of sperms. You should expect your testosterone level drops as your testicular/low-abdomen pains release. |
