Prostate enlargement, Over-ejaculation, weak immunity, and sexual orgasm

My fiance' and I have had a wonderful sex life since we met one year ago.We have had sexual intercourse on average 2 times per night, and once we made love 6 times in a 12 hour period! (Very early on in our relationship.) The problem now is our sex life is non existent. He tells me he has had allergy shots meant for a 195 lb. man when he weighs only 155 lbs: due to a transcript error at his Dr.'s office. The last shot made him ill for 3 days, with rapid heartbeat,digestive problems,and overall anxiety, which is when the error was discovered. He also tells me he just found out he has an enlarged prostate, and while he is able to have normal erections, and a somewhat normal libido, it is painful for him. He is 48 years old, and otherwise in good health. My question is...does this sound right to you? I have found nothing on the Internet correlating either allergy shots, or enlarged prostate to prohibiting a man from sexual relations due to pain. Please advise. Thank you in advance.
