Vasectomy, sexual dysfunction, pelvic congestion, and sexual orgasm

Hello Dr. Lin:

I had a vasectomy in 1995 after my third child. Things were pretty much normally aside of painfully sensitive testicles. Now I am experiencing periodic erectile problems and/ or ejaculation problems. One day no problem with the erection, but no orgasm, the next day problem with maintaining erection, and a mild orgasm. Last year I had swelling of the testicles accompanied with pain. I went to see my doctor and he sent me to the urologist that did the vasectomy in 95. The urologist said every thing is fine and gave me a prescription for the swelling. He also told me the only way to get rid of the pain was to undergo pain management or have the epididimas removed which could result in the death of my testicles due to twisting of the vein. This was not acceptable to me. I am now contemplating the reversal due to the discomfort and my sexual dysfunction. I am also experiencing lower abdominal pain and some bladder pain along with the testicular pain. I have no problem urinating and no indication of problems in urine. Could this be associated with the vasectomy and my current problems? Do you think a reversal would be a wise choice? I have talked with my wife and she has no problem with me going for the reversal. I have a wonderful relationship with my wife, one that all my friends are envious of. I want to be able to satisfy her sexually every time we have sex. She says I do, but I am not confident enough to agree.
