Side effects of prostate surgery for no erection and sexual orgasm.

After surgery last January for prostate cancer my 49 year old husband is still suffering from incontinence and wear depends as well as being unable to achieve an erection even though a nerve saving surgery was used when the prostate gland was removed.These problems are affecting him emotioally as well as sexually and physically.Please tell me what can be done to help get rid of these problems-the doctor says its the nerves in the penis.Is there any way to help heal or regenerate the nerves or whatever it is that prevents erections?And what can be done for the incontinence??No man wants to have to wear a diaper.Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated and restore his quality of life as a healthy,active,functioning man-physically,mentally,emotionally as well as sexually.Thank-you..Sincerely
