Case Title: Tubaligation causes severe vaginal dryness and frequently overdue,
irregular period - the

Its been 2 years since my tubaligation. I now am over 3 months late with my period. Not unusual with me because it was always a problem. The only thing I notice is that I have severe vaginal dryness.
I don't have any problems with my sexual life. I just want to know what should I do if I don't menstruate again this month coming? Should I take a pregnacy test? I don't believe I'm pregnact, but is there a possibity that the tubaligation failed?
Dr. Lin: 1/27/2004>You should take a pregnant test to check if your tubaligation has failed.
However, I think you are entering the menopause state from the peri-menopause. It seems your pituitary is too weak to release LH and FSH for reviving your ovarian function.
That is, your ovarian function is in menopause -releasing no more estrogen for
helping vaginal lubrication. When the pituitary function is weak, you won't get hot flushes
during menopause, but only vaginal dryness, and you have a smooth transition. Some women are not so lucky like you. There are a lot of unlucky women having
experienced a very rough transition of premature peri-menopause few days or months after tubaligation was done, as listed in this link -
