Over-ejaculation resulted in frequent urination, prostate and perineum pains for no more sexual orgasm

Hi Dr. Lin,

First I have to say that I am not sure what you mean with the Overall Rating, you mean of the problem?

Anyway, I stumbled across your site and thought I'd give it a try. I found some information regarding my problem, but wanted to ask you which of your medicines of yours you would recommend in my case, so I don't order the wrong stuff.

And I want to express, that my problem is really annoying me to a very large extend. I am starting to loose interest in sexual activity and my girlfriend is starting to be somewhere between dissapointed and pissed of, but doesn't really say much since she loves me and doesn't really want to say it.

Ok, here it goes:

I am 36 years old.
Since probably 15+ years I masturbated about once a day (seldomly not, and seldomly twice) except for days I was having sex with a partner.

I never had real problems. Ocasionally I would have a burning/painful sensation after masturbation that would go away with about 10 minutes of warmth, either through a warm towel, warm bath and alike.

Now the following rather wierd thing happened to me.

About eight weeks ago, I was away from my girlfriend, and we were both quite turned on so we telephoned, had intensive phone-sex and I ended up masturbation about 5 or 6 times on one evening even though it was already painful after 2-3 times.

Next day I developped a sharp pain in the tip of the penis, followed by a frequent need to urinate. I saw my doctor, he gave me 7 days of Ciproxin and the symptoms stopped after 3 days. I finished the antibiotics and that seemed to be it (urin examination showed no infection, no blood, no nothing when I saw the doctor before getting antibiotics anyway)

The next 2 weeks I was symptom-free, with about 1 mansturbation a day, and if saw my girlfriend, intensive sex with 1-2 orgasms (but no masturbation)

About 2 weeks later, and I do now feel I was/am a bit of an idiot there, I basically repeated the same thing: 4-6 times masturbating.
Over the next 4 days the following happened:
day 1) started to have a bit of urine flow out after going to the toilet
day 2) needed to go to the toilet more often, and had pain after, not during urination
day 3) needed to go the toilet even more often, while urine amount became less and less and pressure while urinating dropped more and more
day 4) it became quite hard to urinate, with substantial pain after urinating (in tip of penis) and only small amounts of urine passed

So I went to see the doctor (a different one at a good private hospital).
He was pretty conviced that i had Prostatitis, since that matched the symptoms pretty much (I agree here with reading lots of web pages). He prescirbe 3 weeks of ciproxin. He also took urine and blood. Urine showed nothing again, blood showed nothing irregular but a slightly increased PSA level (which doc said is also normal for a prostatitis). Urine was also tested for cancer markers/cell, but again nothing. Just to be sure, he ordered to a have a TRUS (ultrasound of the prostate throught the rectum) and a more general ultrasound of belly/pelvic region/etc.

The ultrasound of the bladder/pelvic region/etc showed not annormalities whatever. The TRUS showed a slighlty enlarged prostate, with signs of an infection, but nothing more serious (for prostate, part of the bladder then can see through it and semenal xxxx (whatever that things is called).

So I got my 3 weeks of ciproxin.

It improved somehow. After 2-3 days, the extreme pains were gone, and urination got less frequent (ever 1-2 hours) and some more volume (100-250 ml) instead of the 50-100 in the most uncomfortable phase). But some pain that I would describe as average remains after urination and after ejaculation. Warmth helps a bit. And the pain and the urge to urinate comes and goes. There seems to be no rule it follows. While before this whole disaster I had pain occasionally after masturbation, I now get it every time. And I get pain after a bowel movement. I sometimes goes away quickly and sometimes it stays for hours.

It really really starts to annoy me. I am usually a quite personality, but this whole things is driving me quite mad, making me nervous and anxious. And researching in the web has made me think of all kind of evil possibilities as to what might be wrong with me, mostly circrling around cancer. (Doc says he is pretty sure i don't have cancer)

Well, saw doc again, and he now recommends to either try out a different antibiotic, or to do some more intensive tests, like a cystoscopy, another TRUS, possibly a colonoscopy, even a prostate biopsy if we don't find anything.

This all seems a bit mad..... since I did have a bit of the idea I might have just ruined something with really masturbating a bit too much. (The doctor seems to be a bit deaf to the point that it both times occured after over-masturbation)

... can you help, or suggest one of your remedies ?
