I’m a healthy 35 year old guy who never had troubles with his sexuality until taking Propecia for battling hair loss, it worked really well in my scalp. All of them assured me that the effects of the drug were completely reversible and that it was a matter of time for me being OK.
One of the urologists that I consulted in person prescribed me Vitamin E (400us), Zinc (25mg) and Selenium (100mmg) daily doses. I began having more improvements but also a series of light cramps in the inner part of my legs and, sometimes, in my testicles and penis; I still have some occasional light cramps and muscular spasms in my legs. As of today, I have been off Finasteride for 15 months. Sometimes I feel normal, full of confidence, and other times I feel full of doubts and insecure. The last urologist told me that it may be just the psychological effect of the drug. Maybe he is right. Needless to say, this has been a horrifying experience to me, I lost my girl and I just want to get back to normal. Today I feel “almost there”, I’m awakening with morning erections 2 to 3 times a week and although I have no problem having erections while sitting or lying down it still gets difficult to get an erection while standing. On the up side my libido is well and my sperm volume
too. It is only the lack of power (endurance, hardness) that I experience at times that really troubles me. I know that Proppecia inhibits the production of DHT and God knows what other hormone effects causes. Another question, about eight months ago I noticed that my penis was curving a little to the left. I have always had my penis a little curved to the left (my left testicle is a little up compare with my right testicle-which is a normal condition). This curved situation causes no pain or physical inconvenience, it does not interfere with my erections at all, and one urologist who examined me told me the curvature is under a normal range and that it has nothing to do with the medication. Have you heard about this situation? Is the curvature reversible? This has nothing to do with the Peyronie disease.
