Recently (in the past month or so), I have been having problems obtaining a full, hard erection. I am hoping it is purely psychological. I am 31 years old, I lift weights and swim, non-smoker,non-drinker and no known health problems. I have always had a problem with ejaculating in 5 min or less but that was always enough time for my wife to achieve multiple orgasms. Then one day I ejaculated too quickly and she was not sattisfied. From that day on, I have been putting pressure on myself to perform better. But instead, I now have trouble obtaining a hard erection like I used to, and when I do get an erection, I ejaculate in less than 60 seconds. What is happening? I did have a vasectomy done almost one year ago to this day, but my Urologist says this should not affect my ability to achieve hard erections. What is your advice. Dr. Lin: 3/25/2002>It is not a big deal at all. It is just a mechanical castration which gradually disables the testicular function by activating the Negative Feedback Controller in the brain-testicular axis and then changes the brain's and nervous functions. This method is more civilized than the classical one that directly removes the testicles. When I was a teenager, we did the testicle removal for our pigs, dogs and oxen in our animal farm, so that we can control the animal behaviors. Once the testicles are removed, the animals become nice pets. We can command a 1000-pound ox to cultivate our lands.
